What wonderful women, and yay the food pantry and the garden. To read this inspires and delights. My current way of being/living becomes more and more simple, what joy x
These two women bring a generous perspective on living in the community they are in and inspiring some new ways of caring and sharing. Asking questions ,being curious and open to unexpected responses is what expands possibilities and offers hope. I have been thinking about hope the last few days and about how important it is to let go of what we can't change and shift towards hope for what we want in the future. That poor young person who took their own life.
Yes Caro and Dominique are great role models for getting on with what holds hope for a better way of living with Earth and all her beings. Involvement is where our medicine lies in these fracturing times I believe. And I guess letting loss and even tragedy be a catalyst for being part of making a healthier future 💚
Total pleasure in writing this and getting to hear more about what you do in the world, a lot! , and what fires you up. Hope you are staying cosy up there in the plateau 💚
Gorgeous Sally, love the photos! The swim factor( for me!) and the sturdy pantry.
Wow and such offerings that have arrived to share with community in the pantry. And the arrival of a ramp! People are involved. The vein spreads out organically.
Thanks for introducing Dominique and Caros work. All inspirational!
Thanks Deb, I love this , the organic growing of veins through connections and the actions they inspire , often hidden until that time of blossoming arrives. 💚
Community has been lost to so many in the modern day, as you astutely point out, and I am convinced it is the crux of the healing we all need right now. Thank you for modeling these "living stories" and the ways we can both inhabit and bring about community for ourselves, each other, and the Earth our great mother (who models community in everything she does). <3
All such good news, Sally! A question - how was the pantry funded? We have a food donation point at the allotment but no funds for more than a large polystyrene box to keep fresh veg a little cooler, which is not exactly ideal... People can leave or take food and whatever is there on Fridays is taken to a food club, where people pay a £4 weekly membership to come along and take up to £20 worth of food. We would love to be able to install something larger and refrigerated. x
Hi Maggie always love hearing stories of your magnificent allotments. Our food Pantry was funded by an environment grant from our local council. If you can source second hand materials it’s not that expensive to make. We were talking to local men’s shed to make but in the end one of our talented gardeners took the lead and with other volunteers made this wonder on site. It’s not refrigerated so will be interesting to see how we go in summer . Happy gardening 💚
Wonderful, Sally. You and this story are my answer to your questions! Read of the day
Thanks AJ not the answer I was expecting! Hope all good over there on your edge of the continent .
Always full of surprises :-) You too!

Thank you Stephanie for this and contributing to community here, yes I think looking through community lens is fundamental to a good life.
Thank you equally Sally. <3
